Why Choose UlpaNoya
About Me and the UlpaNoya Approach
Hi! I’m Noya Einhorn, language coach and the founder of UlpaNoya- a private Hebrew school for Israeli Hebrew and accent.
I help Hebrew learners, communicate in Israeli Hebrew and with an Israeli accent, in a way that’s as close as possible to the way native Israelis speak, so they can feel connected, free, and confident
This is my philosophy:
In Israel, Hebrew is used in two main forms:
- Traditional / proper / standard / formal Hebrew.
- Israeli Hebrew.
Traditional/proper Hebrew is the foundation and essence of the language.
It uses classical precise grammar and well-defined structures, it provides a structured rigorous framework and it is all around us.
It’s essential for understanding:
Official documents, literature, the news, automated cash registers in stores, interactive voice response systems on the phone, announcements on PA systems in public areas, commercials and more.
Traditional Hebrew is typically the one form taught in “normal” ulpans (schools for Hebrew), textbooks, apps, etc.
But what about spoken communication?
The way natives actually communicate with each other in everyday life.
(and on t.v, podcasts, YouTube etc).
This is where Israeli Hebrew comes in.
Israeli Hebrew or as I like to call it: “Israeli”, is the living language – the Hebrew that native Israelis actually speak every day, and it is often very different from traditional / proper Hebrew.
It’s vibrant and dynamic, including: Contractions, different pronunciation from proper Hebrew, colloquial vocabulary and slang. It essentially has its own rules and structures, which you won’t find in textbooks, standard ulpans or apps.
Learning and mastering “Israeli” is imperative for understanding natives when they speak and for sounding more like one. It contributes to having strong confidence, being better understood, getting by in Israel, enjoying a sense of belonging, truly connecting with the community and the culture and feeling free.
At UlpaNoya, you will learn both traditional and Israeli Hebrew.
The Israeli Accent Program
To truly master Israeli Hebrew and come as close as possible to sounding like a native speaker, it’s essential to also adopt the right accent –
the Israeli accent.
That is why I’ve developed a separate, unique, and exclusive accent training program, offering UlpaNoya students an invaluable and rare tool.
Even if you didn’t grow up in Israel and your familiarity with the culture, customs, mentality, history, and ethos isn’t like that of a native, having a good Israeli accent and communicating in Israeli Hebrew can help you feel more integrated and connected.
Join me at UlpaNoya, and experience a comprehensive approach to learning Hebrew that prepares you for both formal and everyday communication in Israel, along with an authentic Israeli accent, fully immersing you in the language and culture.
More About Me and My Teaching Philosophy
I have been teaching Hebrew intensively since 2011, beginning as a teacher at a private Ulpan for three years. Afterward, I opened my own Hebrew school, developed the “Israeli Hebrew” method and approach, and created the Israeli accent program.
I teach students of all levels and backgrounds, with a highly personalized approach, meticulously designing tailor-made courses for each student to perfectly fit their needs and goals.
The environment in my lessons is very warm, encouraging, comfortable and friendly, and at the same time, extremely professional.
It is always my top priority, that each student gets absolutely the most out of their lessons with me, and achieve their goals effectively, while enjoying the process.
I am exceptionally patient and incredibly passionate about teaching and about the Hebrew language.
Empowerment
My students build self-confidence naturally and practically automatically through a distinctive approach that places empowerment at its core.
I create an open, warm, and nonjudgmental relationship with each student. Even the shyest students, or those who suffer from anxiety when communicating in Hebrew, quickly develop self-confidence and start enjoying conversations in Hebrew with a great sense of liberty, competence, and comfort.
Many students even tell me that their lessons with me feel like therapy 🙂
My approach, combined with the useful tools my students acquire in our lessons, creates a magic formula that simply works.
It’s always a great pleasure to hear about their new experiences—talking in Hebrew to more and more people and understanding so much more of what’s out there.
My vision is to work with my students to create a new generation of Hebrew learners who speak like native speakers.
I hope you join 🙂
